  • TaxWise Online (TWO BLUE) and Training TaxWise Online (TWO GREEN) are now active for the 2008 tax year. Site coordinators will need to login with their Client ID and Admin password to accept the 2008 License Agreement before the users at their site can login.  2008 TaxWise online kits have been shipped out which include the following:

    ·         2008 TaxWise Online registration Code and Client ID

    ·         CD that contains third party products and documentation

    ·         Training CD that contains 100 workshop returns

    ·         TaxWise Online Reference Guide

    These applications contain:

     TaxWise Online 2008 (TWO BLUE):  https://twonline.taxwise.com

    ·         Create Templates (Master templates have been distributed)

    ·         Create User Defined History Lists

    ·         Create User Defined Return Stages

    ·         Manage Users

     Training TaxWise Online 2008 (TWO GREEN):  https://twonline.taxwise.com/training

    ·         Create and submit e-files to the Training Electronic Filing Center

    ·         Any return created in training prior to 11/29 is no longer available

  • Our IRS SPEC partners have released a “disability toolkit” for use by free tax sites. The purpose of this toolkit is “increasing tax knowledge, filing access and asset building opportunities for persons with disabilities.”

  • The Aspen Institute is launching its new and improved EITCplatform for the 2009 tax season.  In addition to an updated version of the highly successful on-line quality review training, the new version of the platform will include volunteer management, group buying, links to Savings Bonds and tax self-preparation tools, and other resources.
